The chamber music festival of the aron quartett is dedicated especially to the performance of works by composers who were persecuted by the Nazis: many had to emigrate; some perished in the extermination camps of the Nazis. For a better understanding of the persecuted music performed pre-concert programs are held. 

The Chamber Music Festival Vienna does not want to be considered as a “ghetto-cultural event”, but rather to be seen side by side with the “usual” chamber music compositions in order to show which brilliant works were forgotten, quite intentionally.
